 New South Wales;

Narrawilly Proggers of Milton (on the south coast) meet at Miriam Miller’s Rug Room studio on the first and third Friday each month.  Miriam also gives workshop and private classes by appointment.

Bellingen: Maxine Keys advises a new group has started up in Bellingen – they meet the 1st Friday of each month,  please contact her for details

U3A Bermagui & District Rug Hookers: meet every Friday afternoon from 1 to 3pm at the Bermagui Country Club.   For more details email Dawn Hollins


The Sunshine Coast Rug Crafters  groups meet the second Friday and third Tuesday of each month from 2.30-5.30pm at the Beerwah Library. The Happy Hookers meet once a month on the third Thursday of the month, from 10-12noon at Bec Andersen’s Studio, 8 Griffith St., North Tamborine, QLD, 4272.  Cost is $15 includes lush morning tea. The Red Earth Ruggers (starting February 13th 2017) will meet at 17 Fairview Dr, Kingaroy every 2nd Monday of the month  from 9 – 12  through winter. For more details email Judy Brook

South Australia;

Strath Matters meet in Strathalbyn on  the first and third Friday of the month in the  supper room of  the Strathalbyn Town Hall located in the High Street. Pop in for a chat, some new ideas and a cup of coffee anytime between 10:00am and 2:00pm.  All welcome –  $4 contribution to costs – contact Judith Stephens at

Rowdy Ruggers – young mothers with their toddlers, meet at Deloraine House (Emu Bay Road, Deloraine). Both groups welcome new members.

A Hook Rug Group meets regularly in the Cygnet Library, south of Hobart. It is run by Roseanne Lane who works at the Cygnet Library.


Yarra Valley Rugmakers aim to meet on the second Saturday of each month from 10am ’til 3pm. Contact Anne Schafer –;  Chris Noorbergen – or check out their website for venue and further details. A light lunch is included, and everyone is invited from experts to those who have never held a hook before.

Western Australia;

Wanneroo Rugmakers:   meets regularly on Saturday mornings at the Library in the northern suburb of Wanneroo, contact Jo Franco at  for information about this group and other workshops.
